My Story

I was born and raised in Ohio and attended Miami University from 1987 to 1991, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a focus on video and audio production. I spent time behind the scenes, editing film, working with sound, and even serving as a disk jockey at the campus radio station. It’s also where I met my amazing wife, Bobbie & we’ve now been married over 30 years. She’s been my rock through every storm, and we’ve walked through some serious ones together.

My professional journey has taken many turns, from campus radio to restaurants to IT leadership. But the most meaningful transformation has happened within me. I’ve survived cancer twice, walked through seasons of struggle, battled self-doubt, and drifted spiritually more times than I care to admit. Yet God’s grace never stopped chasing me. He used pain, failure, and healing to teach me how to live with purpose, grit, and faith.

Today, I run this site to share the lessons God is teaching me. I write weekly blog posts to encourage men (and anyone navigating real life) to grow in their walk with Christ. I co-host the Brotherhood Forged Podcast with my good friend Paul Bengel, where we talk about fatherhood, leadership, identity, and faith in a raw, authentic way. And I share some of my favorite photography here while capturing moments of life, faith, family, and beauty in the ordinary.

At the heart of everything I do is this mission: to help men rise, not to be perfect, but to be present, purposeful, and rooted in Jesus. If you’re looking for polished performance, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you’re looking for truth, grace, and a brother to walk with you, I'd like to welcome you. I’m glad you’re here.
